The three-day 389th Urs of Hazrat Shah Jamal Sohrwardy continues for the second day at his shrine Shah Jamal Road, Ichra, in the provincial metropolis of Lahore.
According to Radio Pakistan, a large number of devotees are participating in the Urs. Mehfil-e-Sama were being held in which renowned ‘Qawals’ sang mystic poetry, along with the traditional dhamal on dhool’s beat.
Baba Shah Jamal lived in Lahore at the time of Mughal Emperor Akbar.
The saint died in 1671, his shrine is in Ichra, Lahore.
