An alert has been released by the law enforcement agencies in Karachi on Saturday regarding the possibility of terrorist attack on at least seven people.
The letter titled “Threat Alert – Terrorist Activity in Karachi” was issued to the relevant departments.
It has been learnt through reliable sources that terrorists (of) ex-Janood-ul-Fida (JUF) are planning to target following individuals in Karachi in the near future,” it stated.
These include SSP Rao Anwar, DSP Mehdi Imran (CID) Gulshan-e-Gohar, Dr Aqeel, eye clinic Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Prof. Tafseer Rizvi and Hussain Abbas Rizvi, Jibran Nasir (member of HRs), Mohtamim of Imambargah ex Rizwan Society and a source of intelligence agency residing in Safora Goth.
Furthermore, the letter said, “This information merits extreme vigilance and heightened security measures at all levels by all concerned.”
