PEF urges private school owners to ensure conducive, favourable conditions for the students

Punjab Education Foundation Managing Director Tariq Mahmood, during a weekly meeting with Heads of Departments of the Punjab Education Foundation (PEF), urged the private school owners to ensure conducive and favourable conditions for the students.

He directed the school owners adhere to the limit of 35 students per class as approved by PEF management and to ensure proper ventilation and light arrangements in the classrooms.

He further directed them to improve the buildings and other infrastructure so that the students may continue their education in the congenial environment.

These steps will help partner schools expand and get affiliated with their respective boards he added. MD PEF Tariq Mahmood said this while presiding over the weekly coordination meeting at the head office in Lahore. Deputy managing directors, program directors and other officials attended the meeting whereas Regional Director Rawalpindi and Additional Director Multan participated the meeting through skype.

Necessary arrangements with regards to upcoming Quality Assurance Tests (QAT) 2017 were also discussed and deliberated during the meeting. MD, PEF directed the PEF officials to ensure the presence of PEF monitors in the QATs.

He also directed PEF officials to ensure professional and supportive attitude towards the private school owners during the monitoring and inspection process.

The meeting held a detailed review of different educational targets and observed that PEF has been very helpful to the disfranchised segments of the society by providing them free education through its partner schools. In the end, special prayers were offered for the departed souls of APS and Chitral plane crash incident.
