Immigration staffers deployed at airports in Punjab have been directed to learn Chinese and Turkish languages.

The decision was taken by FIA Director Dr Usman Anwar keeping in view the excessive travelling of Chinese and Turks to Pakistan for CPEC and other development projects.

The immigration officers said that the act will surely help in communicating with foreign delegations while it will also strengthen bilateral relations.

According to reports, more than 60 per cent workers at Allama Iqbal International Airport have learnt initial sentences of these languages.

It was also learnt that two experts of Chinese language were appointed while officials of Turkish Airlines were contacted to teach their language to Pakistani immigration workers.
