Pakistani Huda and Indian Maneet dated for four years before deciding to tie the knot. But it took some time for their families to accept their relationship.

Huda is a Pakistani Muslim and Maneet is a Indian Jain. They dated for four years before deciding to take the plunge.

“It was just that she was from a different religion. Nothing else crossed their minds,” said the groom in a heartwarming video made for their wedding.

But, the road to the wedding aisle wasn't easy.

And Huda's excitement at finally making it to this moment is priceless.

“From Jain to Gujarati still you do it, from Gujarati to Hindu still it happens but this was different,” said the groom’s father. And so, the groom’s family gave him an ultimatum. “They said you either choose her or you leave home…so, he left home,” Huda said.

"We would not have married until the day they approved the alliance," Huda told BuzzFeed.

Watching him adorably adjust her dress as she stands at the altar is enough to warm the coldest hearts this winter.

The 27-year-olds were devastated. Breaking into tears, they narrated the story of their struggle, hoping their families would accept their relationship. “We would not have married until the day they approved the alliance,” Huda told BuzzFeed.

After trying very hard to make the marriage work, they finally got both families on the same side.

And the resulting sunset beach wedding was a goddamn dream.

“I was hoping that they would at least see that the level of feelings we had for each other; they were quite strong so probably they would call me back,” said Maneet.
