The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) on Wednesday sealed a cooking oil factory over charges of adulteration.
A PFA spokesperson said that a team conducted a raid at a factory in Muradabad Colony where cooking oil was being prepared from the waste of slaughtered poultry.
The raiding team seized 1400 litres of adulterated cooking oil from the factory as it was being packed for transport to grocery shops.
Factory owners and workers managed to escape from the scene.
The team sealed the premises and sent samples of the oil to a laboratory for analysis.
