Some political heavyweights are likely to join Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in Sindh during PTI Chairman Imran Khan’s two-day visit to Karachi scheduled to start from December 29, 2016, Pakistan Today has learnt reliably.

Imran Khan will visit Karachi to lay the foundation stone of Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre.

However, sources say that during his visit Imran Khan will also hold meetings with important political personalities, traders and party’s workers of the province.

They say that PTI Chairman will also visit Lyari to meet senior political figure Nabil Gabol, who has repeatedly stated that he would either join PTI or PPP, but was waiting for the right time.

Sources say that the politician is willing to join PTI but is waiting for a formal invitation from the party chairman.

It is expected that Imran Khan will invite him along with some other personalities from the province to join his party.

It is pertinent to mention here that Nabil Gabol also came to Bani Gala for PTI’s Islamabad lockdown and publicly announced that he would standby with Imran Khan in his fight to get rid of corrupt mafia.

Khan is also expected to visit Juniad Jamsheed’s family to pay his condolences.

PTI Sindh President Dr Arif Alvi refused to comment on the report when contacted.

Moreover, a 7-member Chinese Communist Party delegation met with Imran Khan at his residence here at Bani Gala and discussed issues of mutual interest and regional situation.

During the meeting, the steps taken by Chinese government for eradication of corruption and poverty were discussed in detail.

PTI Central Secretary Information Naeemul Haq said that Imran Khan informed the delegation regarding his stance on CPEC and said that the project had great importance for both the countries.

He said that the Chinese delegation invited Imran Khan to visit China which he accepted.
