Provincial Minister for Primary and Secondary Health Department Imran Nazir said that the CT scan machines would be provided to every district headquarters hospital by April 2017.
The minister said that the government would provide this facility to the patients free of cost.
The minister further said that the strategy of public and private partnership would resolve the issue of non-functioning of the machines as the company would be responsible for its repair and maintenance. Nazir said that the provision of CT scan machines to the DHQ hospitals is a part of the upgrade, and revamping of the hospitals.
Imran Nazir disclosed that the government’s budget won’t be spent on the procurement and installation of the machines and all such expenditures would be met by the contracting firm.
