More than 1, 500 people have been affected by an unidentified disease which has spread through the area of Malir Khokhrapar.
Health Senior Director Abdul Wahid Panwar stated that the affected are displaying symptoms of fever and bone joint pain.
According to hospital officials, 70 hospital staff members have been affected by this disease which is affecting children, adolescents, and adults alike.
A committee has been formed by the health services senior director to investigate the outbreak and start an awareness campaign.
The health director also said that a potential way for the disease to spread might be through mosquitoes resembling the dengue mosquito. A reduction in platelets of those affected has been reported.
