Two police officials involved in receiving bribes and tipping off drug peddlers before security forces raided their hideouts were arrested early on Monday.
According to reports, security forces conducted a raid at Pir Ilahi Bux colony and arrested two police officials, Zakir and Yousuf.
The security forces handed over the accused to the police who confessed to their crimes during interrogation.
Earlier, on December 9, an operator of the police special branch was arrested for tipping off terrorists before search operations.
According to counter-terrorism department officials, Syed Irfan would tip off terrorists involved in sectarian killings before the police were able to raid their hideouts.
