Major General Mohammad Saeed took charge as the Director General (DG) of the Sindh Rangers here on Monday.
The outgoing Director General Lt General Bilal Akbar handed over the charge. General Bilal Akbar will take up his new responsibilities as Chief of General Staff at the General Headquarters (GHQ), Rawalpindi.
Earlier, the outgoing DG Rangers Sindh Lt Gen Bilal Akbar called on the Sindh Chief Minister (CM) Murad Ali Shah. According to a spokesperson at the CM House, the newly appointed DG Maj Gen Mohammad Saeed was also present at the meeting, in which they discussed the overall law and order situation in the province.
During the meeting, the chief minister lauded the services of Lt General Bilal Akbar for restoring peace in Sindh in general and Karachi in particular. He hoped that the new DG would continue the good work done by his predecessor.
