Five terrorists gunned down in DG Khan

The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) on Sunday claimed to have killed five terrorists belonging to a banned outfit in Dera Ghazi Khan.
According to the CTD sources, it received information that eight or nine ‘terrorists’ suspected of involvement with proscribed organisations including the Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan and militant Islamic State group were hiding in DG Khan’s Choti Bala area.

CTD conducted a raid on a tip off, on seeing the police, terrorists opened fire at police party which led to cross firing. As a result five terrorists were killed during the exchange of fire while four managed to escape.
Malik Tehseen and Kamran were among those killed. The three remaining ‘terrorists’ are being identified, the CTD said.

Four hand grenades, four rifles, two 9mm pistols and ammunition were recovered during the raid and an investigation has been initiated, the CTD said.
