The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) on Sunday claimed to have killed five terrorists belonging to a banned outfit in Dera Ghazi Khan.
According to the CTD sources, CTD conducted a raid on a tip-off that nine terrorists were present at Mouza Rakh Rajhani in Choti Bala, a remote area of Dera Ghazi Khan district.
On seeing the police, terrorists opened fire at police party which led to the cross firing.
As a result, five terrorists were killed during the exchange of fire while four managed to escape.
Two of the terrorists, killed in operation, were identified as Malik Tehseen and Kamran.
Arms and explosive material were also seized in the operation, sources added.
