An accountability court declared a Sindh government official Anita Baloch as proclaimed offender (PO) during the hearing of corruption references against former home minister Sharjeel Memon on Saturday.

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) had filed the corruption references worth Rs 5 billion against the former minister and other accused.

The court had earlier issued non-bailable arrest warrant of former deputy secretary of the Information Department, Anita Baloch, in the corruption reference. Baloch is a co-accused in the case.

The investigation officers pleaded the court to declare Baloch a proclaimed offender. The court, after hearing the arguments of the investigation officer, declared Baloch a proclaimed offender in the case and adjourned the hearing of the reference till January 7, 2017.
