Former President of Pakistan and president Pakistan People’s Party Parliamentarian Asif Ali Zardari would return to Pakistan before 27th December and would also address at the Martyrdom anniversary of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto. Mian Manzoor Ahmed Wattoo, a senior leader of Pakistan Peoples Party and former Chief Minister of Punjab made this claim on Saturday while talking to journalists.

He castigated the PML-N government for its corruption-tainted character and continuous corrupt practices, adding that the people of Pakistan would not vote for the PML-N in general elections 2018 irrespective of the decision on Panama Case and the PPP would once again emerge as the biggest political party of Pakistan and win the next elections.

The former chief minister has also said that the PPP-led group would win elections in the Municipal Committee Haveli Lakha as it has a majority,

“Our strength is 14 members in the Municipal Committee while our rivals have 11 members”, he told.

He informed that by this time the nomination papers of our two panels have been accepted and after deliberations, we would decide which panel would contest the elections, both are our panels and it would not make any difference which group would contest and win against the ruling party, he added.

He further added that there has been no doubt that usually, the local bodies elections belonged to ruling party, but in Renala Khurd the PPP’s majority despite having the PML_N MNA and MPA is a big question mark on the ruling party. He maintained that although Pir Sahiban has a majority in Hujra Shah Muqeem, yet our group is competing and giving a tough fight.
