“Service to the people, politics, is the most important and precious thing in the world,” Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif said. He said that under the leadership of prime minister, the government is successfully continuing the journey of public service.
“On the other hand, the opponents of the progress and prosperity make every effort to create hurdles in the journey of development but failed.”
He said that PTI Cheif Imran Khan had spared no effort in ruining Pakistan through sit-ins in 2014 and on the planned lockdown of Islamabad but thankfully he had failed.
He said that under the present federal government, round the clock work is being carried out for the elimination of the electricity crisis and expressed hope that load shedding would come to an end by the end of 2017.
“Electricity will be available for agriculture, industries, education, health and other sectors. Latest quality medical facilities will be available to the people with the construction of a modern hospital by the Jasim and Hammad Bin Jasim Charitable Foundation in Bhakkar,” he added.
He expressed these views while addressing the stone laying ceremony of the Sheikh Jasim Hospital at Haiderabad Thal, tehsil Mankera, Bhakkar on Saturday.
The chief minister ordered the immediate provision of funds for the construction of the Danish School in Mankera and said that the construction should be completed at the earliest.
He thanked the Jasim Charitable Foundation for the construction of the 50-bed hospital which is being built at a cost of 86 crore rupees.
“The people of Bhakkar and Jhang will benefit from this hospital and pray for Prince Jasim and his family. They are not our guests but our brothers, and we welcome them from the core of our hearts,” he said.
“This hospital will be equipped with modern facilities and doctors will provide best medical facilities to the masses here.”
“No hospital in the country whether in Lahore, Islamabad, or Karachi, is at par with the modern 100tod Tayyip Erdogan Hospital in Muzafargarh which is a gift by the people of Turkey to the people of Pakistan,” he added.
He said that the hospital to be constructed in Bhakkar by the Jasim Charitable Foundation Qatar will be of same standard and will result in the provision of modern treatment facilities to the people of the area.
He said that more than one lakh Pakistanis are currently working in different sectors in Qatar.
He said that the prime minister had visited Qatar and offered all out cooperation to the Qatari monarchy for the Football World Cup to be hosted by Qatar in 2025.
He expressed the hope that soon thousands of Pakistanis will go to Qatar for employment. He said that Qatar is working on a 1320-megawatt coal-fired power plant along with China at Port Qasim, Karachi, and that this project will be completed by next year.
Shehbaz Sharif said that besides China, Qatar is the biggest investor in Pakistan.
He said that the situation of the country is improving under the leadership of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
He said that the federal government has begun implementation of the largest Kissan Package in the history of the country. The chief minister said that the provision of interest-free loans of 100 billion rupees to the owners of 12.5-acres of land has also been started.
“Subsidy is being given to the farmers on fertilisers and the electricity tariff on agricultural tube wells has been reduced, “ he added.
He said that political opponents are perturbed over the continuing progress under the supervision of the federal government and that these opponents wanted to stop the development of Pakistan.
“Thankfully they have failed and the journey of progress is ongoing despite their sit-ins.”
He said that work is continuing speedily on projects under am investment package of 51 billion dollars by China.
He said that Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Iran and China are allies of Pakistan and that with their cooperation of, Pakistan will stand on its own feet and achieve a respectable place on the world stage.
The Chief Minister congratulated the people of the area on the start of the construction of and said that elected representatives and the administration should cooperate with the foundation in the construction of the hospital, as it is a splendid example of public service.
“Surplus electricity will be available in the country before the next elections and we will succeed in the court of the people,” he said.
Earlier, Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif and a founding member of the Jasim Charitable Foundation, Sheikh Jasim Bin Hammad Bin Jasim laid the foundation stone of the 50-bed hospital.
