PPP’s anti-corruption drive was limited to ‘dining room’: Sattar

Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM)-Pakistan Chief Dr Farooq Sattar has criticised Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) on Friday by alleging the political party of mere empty rhetoric against corruption.

While talking to the media, Dr Sattar said that PPP’s anti-corruption movement was limited to ‘dining room’ and that the only purpose it was serving to the party was to hide its own corruption.

He said that the real fight against corruption was being put up by Muttahida Qaumi Movement. Dr Sattar has urged the PPP to support MQM in its stand against corrupt leaders.

He linked corruption with extremism when he said that elimination of terrorism would weed out corruption in the country. He also said that National Action Plan (NAP) was not being implemented and that the responsibility lied with both the federation and the province.
