PMLN’s Ahmad Iqbal was elected unopposed as Chairman District Council, Narowal, as PTI and independent candidates withdrew their candidacies.
Ahmad Iqbal has a background in public policy and finance and is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, from where he obtained a masters degree in public administration, specializing in local governance.
He has also worked as a consultant at the World Bank headquarter in Washington, DC, and has been affiliated with the World Resources Institute USA and Merrill Lynch in the past.
He is the son of Federal Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal.
