Pakistan were 97 for eight in reply to Australia’s 429 at the close on the second day of the day-night first Test against Pakistan in Brisbane on Friday.
At stumps, Sarfraz Ahmed was unbeaten on 31 with Mohammad Amir on eight to trail Australia by 332 runs.
Rookie Peter Handscomb reached his maiden Test century with 105 after skipper Steve Smith scored 130 in Australia’s first innings.
