Chief Justice (CJ) of the Lahore High Court (LHC) Mansoor Ali Shah advised law practitioners on Friday to not let the clash between the bar and the bench to hinder the provision of justice to the people.
The chief justice addressed a seminar of the Punjab Provincial Committee during which he said that an audit of cases has been conducted for the first time in history and timely reforms had been brought leading to a better legal system.
Shah said that at least 0.15 million cases were under hearing in the high court while more than 1.3 million were being heard across Punjab. He added that reforms in the judiciary were not possible without funding.
