Rangers and police conducted a joint operation in Rangi Wara area of Lyari on Thursday night during which gang war accused hiding in the area opened fire at the raiding party. Rangers and police returned the fire as a result an accused was killed.
The police sources said that the killed accused was member of Uzair Baloch group. The police also recovered hand grenade and other ammunition.
Separately, the police apprehended a gang war accused in injured condition after an encounter in Baghdadi area of Lyari. The police sources said that the arrested accused Bhawan was member of Baba Ladla group. The police also recovered arms from his possession.
