The newly appointed Sindh Governor Justice (r) Saeed-uz-Zaman was discharged on Thursday from the hospital after 35 days.

Three days after being sworn in on November 11, the governor was admitted to a hospital for breathing difficulties and a chest infection.

Reports said that the governor was discharged from the hospital because of family pressure. He will be accompanied by a 24-hour monitoring team including a chest specialist, a neurologist and a physiotherapist.

A ten-member medical board comprising neurological physicians, surgeons, orthopaedics, and chest specialists monitored the governor’s health round the clock at the hospital.

Sources claim that the governor’s lungs have collapsed and that his body is unable to achieve the required oxygen saturation without a BiPAP machine. “The governor’s vital organs are not working properly,” the sources added.

Sources also claimed that the medical board has recommended a lung transplant, advising that the procedure should be performed in the United Kingdom, United States, or India.

Due to the governor’s old age, a major surgery is not possible.
