Indian Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday took his tiff with the government to an altogether new level, claiming that he had detailed information pertaining to the ‘personal corruption’ of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Singh Modi.
After the Lok Sabha was adjourned, Rahul Gandhi held a hard-hitting press conference in which he promised to expose the ‘personal corruption’ of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in front of the parliament. He addressed the press conference with NCP, Trinamool, RSP and DMK leaders.
“That information is personal information about Narendra Modi which I want to place in Lok Sabha. It is a personal corruption of the prime minister… the PM is not allowing us to speak,” he said.
“The PM is personally terrified of me being allowed to open my mouth inside Lok Sabha because I have information…that is going to explode his balloon,” he added.
Gandhi insisted that it was due to the information on Modi that he possessed that the government was resorting to delaying tactics, with regard to the Lok Sabha. He said that Modi did not want him to raise his voice in the parliament and expose his corruption.
Modi refused to divulge details regarding what he was referring. Answering party queries, he refused to reveal his cards and stated that the issue would make an impact effective only when raised in the parliament.
