The Punjab Governor Malik Muhammad Rafique Rajwana said that Pakistan has a distinguished place in classical music, besides education and business.
He was addressing a Christmas Piano Concert, jointly organised by Pakistan and Hungry at a local hotel on Thursday
Amilia Szabo, wife of Hungarian ambassador, Adeel Hashmi and hundreds of piano lovers attended the programme.
The governor appreciated the efforts of Hungarian Ambassador Istvan Szabo for organising a concert of child musician Missi Bruce, which would strengthen cultural relationship between the both countries.
He appreciated the perfect performance of Missi in piano playing and lauded the contribution made by the Hungarian ambassador to the fields of literature and culture in Pakistan.
On the occasion, the Hungarian ambassador said that Missi Bruce had played piano in several concerts, organised in 88 countries including China, Japan and European countries.
He said that the Hungary government had arranged special training of children of age group 10 to12 for promotion of classical music in Hungary and those children are earning name and fame across the world.
He said that Missi had been introduced for the first time in Pakistan and he was well appreciated for his performance.
He said that Hungary wanted to work jointly with Pakistan for promotion of music.
Later, Missi Bruce and Asad Azeem presented their performance by playing classical piano.
The promoters of a piano concert and chairman AHI Ghulam Dasgeer Khan said on the occasion that his company has been working for promotion of music and artistes with the cooperation of different countries and piano concert was part of that effort, adding that the next program would be organised in Islamabad.
