Amir Khan, the famous boxer has finally broke silence this week over his wife, Faryal Makhdoom’s statements against her in-laws which were making rounds across social media.

Faryal’s posts on Snapchat made claims of domestic abuse which she had been facing after her marriage, which was subsequently denied by both of Amir’s parents.

In an earlier interview, they said they consider her “like their own daughter”, meanwhile admitting they were unhappy with some of her attire.

Things took a turn for the worse when Amir Khan uploaded a frustrated message on social media, urging his wife and parents to stop the ‘childish behaviour’ otherwise ‘they will lose a son and a husband’.

“I apologise on the silly picture and message my wife Faryal put up. Here is me working my ass off helping the less fortunate with charity dinners and my family and wife are just destroying my name. I didn’t want to get involved in this mess. There is NO reality television show. My parents are my parents and my wife is my wife. Whatever misunderstanding has happened they should keep it private. This is getting to the point where they will lose a son & a husband. Childing behaviour. Both parties need to stop this. I’ve had enough.”

The post comes after Amir’s family broke their silence regarding Faryal’s abuse allegations, Manchester Evening News reported.

Earlier, Faryal took things certainly to a next level when she uploaded a nude picture of Haroon Khan, also a professional boxer and Amir Khan’s younger brother, on Snapchat.

“My dressing was an issue? What about the fact that I was not considered a daughter-in-law for the past three years? Why was that not an issue?” she asked.

Faryal said that she had spent ‘three years in hell’ and expressed shock at her in-laws’ double standards.

“Are they right because they are blood relatives while I’m wrong because of being the daughter-in-law?” she asked.

“My dressing is an issue while you’re son is in an objectionable state and your daughters don’t wear dupattas?” she asked. “Your own daughters won’t last a day with their own in-laws and you’re pressurising me? she fumed.

Speaking in an interview, Amir’s parents claimed that they had issues with her ‘un-Islamic’ way of dressing.

“Faryal was adopting a dress code which in the Islamic faith was not acceptable. I am a father to two daughters whom I have treated exactly the same way as I have treated Faryal,” Amir’s father Shah said.

“All this started with the issue of dressing. We kept asking Amir to tell her not to adopt such a dress code. And even if she had to wear such dresses, please don’t post it on social media,” he added.

His mother shared that she used to urge Faryal to wear a scarf who never paid heed to her. “I asked her not to wear such dresses and to take the dupatta (scarf), but he never listened,” she said.

Faryal, a rights activist and an occasional ramp walker earlier revealed the instances of domestic abuse by her sister-in-law and mother-in-law on Snapchat. Subsequently, rumours were abuzz that the family drama is expected to be televised with a Kardashian-style reality show featuring the couple.

Amir married Faryal three years ago in New York and has a daughter named Laimah. The two stars have been very active on Facebook and Instagram.
