PDWP approves four development schemes

The Punjab Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) has approved four irrigation and road development schemes at an estimated cost of approximately Rs 4357 million.

These schemes were approved in the 38th meeting of the Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) during the current fiscal year.

Planning and Development (P&D) Provincial Secretary Iftikhar Ali Sahoo, members of the P&D board, provincial secretaries and other representatives of the relevant departments also attended the meeting.

According to a spokesperson for the P&D department, the approved development schemes include a flood bund along the river Indus from Raikh Bagh Wala to Bait Wagwar Kot Mithan, Rajanpur at a cost of Rs 1645.936 million, a flood carrying channel from RD. 0+000-21+000, Nutkani, District D G Khan at a cost of Rs 654.832 million, restoration of the eastern Sadiqia RD. 0+000 to 195+000, Bahawalnagar at a cost of Rs 940.429 million and the Construction of a flyover in Abbasia Town, R Y Khan at a cost of Rs 1116.200 million.
