Metro Bus passengers complain of dirty water filters at stations

The passengers travelling between the twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad through the ‘Metro Buses’ have complained that the filters of the water coolers have not been changed for the last several months

At the station, people are compelled to drink unhygienic water.

According to the passengers, who frequently use the metro bus, many coolers have no glass to drink the water. The installed coolers are substandard. It is more worrisome that the sanitary workers are using the cooler areas to store their equipment.

The government has spent millions of rupees to provide modern facilities at the metro bus stations but there is no one to inspect whether these equipment are functioning according to the standard, their condition has deteriorated.

The passengers of the metro bus have urged the Commissioner and the Chairman of Metro Bus service Hanif Abbasi to take an immediate notice and ensure the provision of good quality filters at the metro stations.
