‘CM/Minister’s complaint box’ at boards’ sites

The Provincial Minister for Higher Education Syed Raza Ali Gillani has asked the chairmen of the board of intermediate and secondary education to establish a ‘separate chief minister/minister higher education’s complaint boxes’ at their official websites forthwith.

He issued these directions while presiding over the meeting of chairmen of nine boards of intermediate and secondary education at the committee room of Lahore board on Monday. The meeting reviewed different issues pertaining to the working of educational boards in the province.

This facility would help the students to submit their complaints and feedback directly to the chief minister or the minister for higher education for the solution of their problems or bringing improvement in the working of the boards.

The Minister said that the boards should strictly follow the educational vision and policies of the Punjab government so that the target of quality education could be achieved along with the provision of necessary facilities to the students and other stakeholders.

He directed the boards to inspect the stated facilities in the institutions applying for board affiliation and said that a composite system of counter-checking should also be developed and put in place.

He said that chairmen of the boards should brief about their working, targets and future vision in the next meeting and explain the steps taken so far for bringing administrative, financial and academic improvements. He said that the boards should also inform about the vacant positions and the vehicles’ required for their official use.

He further said that the gap should be maintained in a conduction of board and Punjab examination commission exams to ensure the provision of exam’s staff and space.

The Minister disclosed that he would personally inspect boards and the other higher education institutions to know

The meeting also reviewed the posting and transfer issue of the board employees.

Moreover, the Higher Education Minister Syed Raza Ali Gillani attended the Eid Milad un Nabi (PBHU) congregation on 12th of the Rabi ul Awwal in Hujra Shah Muqeem.
