Punjab: Fog wreaks havoc, 12 killed in road mishaps

At least twelve people were killed while scores of others injured in separate fog-related and other road accidents in various districts of Punjab on Sunday.

Six people of a family were killed in Multan as their car fell in a canal adjacent to the road in the early hours of Sunday.

The bodies were taken out immediately after the rescue forces reached the spot.

In another incident, two passengers died in collision between motorcycle and tractor trolley in Vehari

Two brothers were crushed to death by a dumper on Sargodha Road near Sillanwali.

Meanwhile, four passengers were injured in the collision between a bus and tractor trolley in Narowal.

On the other hand, the motorway was reopened after an overnight closure due to fog.

According to the met office, the foggy spell is likely to continue for the next few days.

According to details, the visibility at the Allama Iqbal International Airport was reduced from 100m to 50m prompting the airport authorities to suspend flight operations for the night.
