The Ministry of Water and Power has directed the power distribution companies (DISCOs) to avoid routine load shedding on Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH).
According to a private news channel, the ministry has also ordered to ensure presence of emergency teams in the field to restore power supply at earliest in a case of any technical problem.
Heavy fog at night is a cause of concern for the authorities as it could hinder the plan of uninterrupted power supply on 12th Rabi ul Awal.
The preparations are in full swing across Pakistan to celebrate Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) on Monday. It will be a public holiday.
Special prayers will be offered for progress and prosperity of the country and well-being of its people.
Various religious, social, political organisations will arrange programs to celebrate the event in a befitting manner.
