Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Sunday demanded a ban on hunting of houbara bustards.
In a message on social media suite Twitter, he said that the houbara bustard was a protected bird and there should a ban on hunting of the bird.
He added that he would talk to the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, where the PTI is in government, to put ban on hunt of houbara bustard in the province.
Imran tweeted: “I am going to speak to the KP CM not to allow anyone to hunt houbara Bustards in KP as it is a protected bird and hunting them is illegal.”
Acting on his advice Chief Minister imposing ban said that no one will be allowed to hunt houbara bustard in the province.
