Sources privy to the development told your correspondent that PTI leadership is determined to take the Panama issue to its logical conclusion, as the party would resort to taking to the streets to make things tougher for the ruling junta.

A party leadership meeting was held at Chairman PTI Imran Khan’s residence at Bani Gala, which was attended by the party leadership and discussed situation mainly arising out of the last day proceeding of Panama case.

Sources said that PTI leadership is finalizing the schedule of public awareness campaign against the rampant corruption in the country.

In this regard, Chairman PTI would address at least three public gatherings during the month of December in major cities of the country, they added.

They said that since the apex court adjourned hearing of the Panama case till the first week of January, so the party leadership decided to resort to the masses.

Sources said that Imran Khan would address public gatherings in Peshawar and Rawalpindi and the name of a third city was yet to be finalized. Moreover, even the schedule of the public meetings has not been finalized as yet and the local leadership of the respective cities would soon announce the dates.

During the public meetings, a second edition of the film based on the inconsistent statements of Nawaz Sharif would be released countrywide.

They said that the Panama scandal and the contradicting statements have badly tarnished the premier’s image, so the purpose of releasing the second edition of the film is to press the prime minister to resign, since he has lost all moral ground to remain in office.

It is pertinent to mention here that PTI conveyed to the court its stance on the latter’s proposal of constituting a commission to conduct an inquiry into the allegations against the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.

Naeem Bokhari, counsel for the PTI, categorically told the court that not only would the party oppose the formation of the inquiry commission, but it would also boycott its proceedings.

PTI Chairman also rejected the option of a commission on the Panama Papers case and had threatened to take to the streets if justice was not provided to them.
