Artists, politicians and other notable persons paid visits on Thursday at late religious scholar, Junaid Jamshed’s residence to condole his death.
The leader of the Opposition in National Assembly (NA), Khurshid Shah, Imran Ismail and Khurram Sher Zaman from Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) were among the sympathisers.
On the occasion, both the representatives of the political party said that the gap that Jamshed’s death has created would not be filled.
Khurshid Shah said that Pakistan International Airline (PIA) was responsible for the crash.
In his statement, Maulana Tariq Jameel said that he was in deep grief over the death of a companion. According to the bereaved family, the announcement regarding funeral prayer and burial would be made after the body is identified.
Junaid Jamshed, the face of a former music group and a religious scholar in the later half of his life died in a plane crash on Wednesday as he returned from Chitral to Islamabad along with his wife.
All 48 people on board PK-661 died in the crash including five crew members.
