Minister orders strict implementation of WB-assisted projects

Sindh Minister for Livestock and Fisheries, Muhammad Ali Malkani, said on Thursday that the government was taking concrete steps to lead farmers and milk producers to the market so that the appropriate ratio of milk and meat production could be ensured at grass root level.

He said this while presiding over the 4th meeting of World Bank-assisted projects of Sindh Agriculture Growth Project (SAGP) at his office here today.

Secretary Livestock and Fisheries Ghulam Hussain Memon, World Bank representative Nazar Mehar, P&D officials Fateh Mori, Saleh Mangi, Project Director SAGP Dr Nazeer Khokhar, and officials of Livestock Department attended the meeting.

The Minister stressed the need to ensure the proper implementation of the project on World Bank schedules. He also instructed officials to achieve the desired results of the project, while stating that all legal and official formalities should be resolved through regular monitoring and supervision of the project.

The Secretary Livestock directed the officials present to remedy all impediments to the project and ensure proper vigilance over the implementation of the programme.
