Mick Jagger, a dad again at 73

Rolling Stones frontman Sir Mick Jagger has long been proving to us that age is just a number. This time he has gone one step further and became a father for the eighth time at the age of 73.

Already a father to seven children, whose ages range from 17 to 45, Mick became a great-grandfather to Jade Jagger’s daughter in 2014.

His 29-year-old American ballerina girlfriend, Melanie Hamrick gave birth to his eighth child, a baby boy, in New York on Thursday.

BBC reports that Mick Jagger’s publicist Bernard Doherty spoke up about this auspicious event and revealed that they were “both delighted” at the birth. He also reported that “Mick was at the hospital for the arrival.” and further added, “Mother and baby are doing well and we request that the media respect their privacy at this time.”

Hamrick began dating Mick Jagger after his partner of thirteen years, L’Wren Scott committed suicide in 2014.

The music star and Rolling Stones frontman has had a long list of famous exes with whom he has had children namely, Marsha Hunt, Bianca Jagger, Jerry Hall and Luciana Gimenez Morad.

The 73-year-old singer already has seven children with previous partners, as well as five grandchildren, and he became a great-grandfather in May 2014.

Jagger and Hamrick, 29, began dating about two years ago.
