Minister of State for Capital Administration Tariq Fazal Chaudhry Thursday said bodies of the air crash victims cannot be handed to the bereaved families immediately as the identification process through DNA test may take six to eight days.
Talking to media here, the minister requested the cooperation from the affected families as the identification of the bodies will take time.
The process of identification has been started as the members of bereaved families have arrived at the hospital where they are given samples of their blood.
Ever since the report regarding the air crash was broken, the members of the bereaved families began arriving at the PIMS hospital.
Meantime, 23 bodies have been shifted to PIMS Islamabad from Ayub Medical Complex, Abbottabad aboard Pakistan Army’s helicopters.
