Police conducted operations in different areas of Karachi on Tuesday night and killed a member of gang war group.
Uzair Baloch group’s member Bilal alias Bhaya was killed, who was involved in more than 40 criminal activities. A fake Major was also arrested and others with him were also arrested.
Bilal alias Bhaiyya, wanted in at least 100 criminal cases, including murder and attempt to murder, was killed in a police shootout at Gao Godam area of Lyari, said DSP Zahid Hussain. He further added that narcotics and weapons were found from the deceased. DSP Hussain claimed that the suspect was affiliated with the Uzair Baloch gang and his three associates, Mullah Sohail, Yousuf Pathan and Rehan Pathan managed to flee from the spot during the operation.
The head money on Bilal was Rs 1.5 million and was involved in more than 50 murders, claimed police.
On the other hand police arrested an accused, who was involved in killing of police official Imtiaz. According to police, he had killed Imtiaz in Korangi few months back. Police is still looking for his companion Faisal Bengali.
Meanwhile,in New Karachi sector 11, two alleged fraudsters were nabbed by the police authorities. The detained suspects used to scam people by becoming law enforcement agents. Weapons, fake police uniforms and money were recovered from them.
In Gadap near superhighway, at least two activists of a banned outfit were apprehended by Sindh Rangers in a targeted operation.
A notorious criminal of Lyari gangwar with head bounty of one and a half million rupee, involved in over 50 murders and attacks on law enforcement agencies personnel (LEAs) was arrested with arms and drugs while his two accomplices managed to escaped after exchange of fire here on Wednesday.
DSP Zahid Hussain said that the police on a tip-off conducted raid in village Godam of Lyari.
He said that the criminals present in the area offered resistance which led to encounter in which Lyari Gangwar criminal Bilal alias Bhaiya was killed while his cohort Sohail, Yousaf Pathan and Rehan Pathan managed to escape.
On the other hand, DSP Javed Abbas, who is known as the King of the China cutting was restored on Tuesday.
There were evidences against DSP Javed, of involvement in china cutting at Surjani road. His name is also there in Joint Investigative Report (JIT).DSP Javed Abbas is also trying to get posted in District West after getting restored reports revealed.
