Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said on Wednesday that he felt general election in Pakistan would be held in 2017, a year ahead of schedule.
Speaking to journalists here, Bilawal said, “I am hopeful PPP will win the next election.”
PPP wanted to field a joint candidate with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in the by-elections.
Bilawal said, “PTI had deceived his party by stealing the candidate.”
He added that despite all the effort PTI lost.
Bilawal also thanked those who had attended PPP Foundation Day functions, while announcing that he would move to Lahore in January.
On Tuesday, the PPP chairman said the Sharifs should realise that this is their last turn.
Addressing a PPP convention, Bilawal said, “A long march would be announced if his party’s demands were not met.”
