Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chief Imran Khan Tuesday (today) announced that his party has successfully proved that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif lied not only to the nation but also to parliamentarians.

Addressing the media, Imran claimed that the documents submitted by PM Nawaz show no trail of money.

“Nawaz claims his property in London was bought after selling the Gulf Steel, established by his father in Dubai. But, the documents show that Gulf Steel was suffering losses…how could he have bought such expensive properties by selling another that was in the loss?”

Congratulating PTI lead counsel Naeem Bukhari and his legal team for doing a “wonderful job” in court today, Imran said, “PTI has submitted evidence of Nawaz’s lies in court and the burden of proof is now on the Sharif family and their lawyers.”

-Jemima gifted Bani Gala land: Imran tells ECP-

Imran Khan told the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Monday that the land for his Bani Gala residence was a gift from his former wife Jemima Khan.

Replying to the commission, the PTI chief claimed his ex-wife was the owner of the land measuring 300 kanals (Bani Gala property), which she had gifted to him when they divorced. However, Imran said he had later paid Jemima for the property by selling his London apartment.

Khan further said that due to a delay in the sale of his London apartment, he was only able to pay Rs6.5 million  and had to borrow money for the remaining instalments from his then wife. The land was purchased on March 13, 2002, for Rs43.5 million, he said in his reply.
