Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) Chief Tahirul Qadri Sunday (today) said that Pakistan is going through its most crucial time, and Karachi operation would meet its desired result only when terror sanctuaries in Punjab are uprooted.

Speaking to press at Jinnah International Airport, after returning from Canada, Dr Qadri said: “Karachi never had the problem of sectarian killings, it came from Punjab,” further adding, “not only in Karachi, wherever there are sectarian tensions, wherever there are religious extremism and terrorism, it all originated and spread all across the country from Punjab.”

Qadri further stated that the rulers are trying to pave ways for ‘monarchy’ in the country. Letter of Qatari prince has proved their corruption.

“Their corruption has been exposed. Now it is a test of the institutions,” he added.

Dr Qadri alleged that the ruling party deliberately lost the by-election of Jhang in favour of a banned religious group.

“PML-N had never let any political party to win any by-election, but just after the change of command in Army, government assisted Sipah-e-Sahaba/Lashkar-e-Jhangvi in winning the election,” he said.

The PAT chief said that a kingship is being established in Pakistan and in view of establishing real democracy in the country, action against it should be immediately taken, otherwise, even the constitution would remain subservient to it.

The PAT chief further emphasised that nation must wake up for resolution of issues.

  1. Dr. Tahirul Qadri is right when he says that the success of operation in Karachi is linked with the eradication of terror sanctuaries in Punjab. I remember reading news report that for blast as far as Quetta, explosives were sent from Punjab. And of course, headquarters of many terrorist outfits are based there.
And Dr. Qadri is also right when he claims that PML-N deliberately lost the election in Jhang to Sipah-e-Sahaba/Lashkar-e-Jhangvi. After all, the extremists, militants and terrorists form a big part of PML-N's voste bank and in return for sparing Punjab, the party leaves them untouched, and going a step further, obliges them whenever it can. It was for this reason that PML-N opposed an all-out operation in Punjab by Rangers.

And of course Dr. Qadri is right again when he claims that Nawaz Sharif is paving the way for monarchy. In fact, Nawaz Sharif is alreading acting in the style of a Monarch by avoiding having to go to the Parliament as much as possible and by making major decisions without a due consultation process. And recently he has taken in his own hands the powers to fire the chief executives of public sector organisations without even giving any reasons. Now, fearing for their jobs, they would not dare oppose Nawaz Sharif's unlawful and arbitrary decisions used to multiply the family fortune in complete disregard of laid down procedures and at the cost of the nation. The family seems to have an insatiable greed and does not mind even snatching the last morsel from the mouths of this poor nation.
