Shalamar Medical and Dental College held its 2nd convocation during which 99 of their graduating students were awarded degrees. The Chief Guest Justice (R ) Khalil ur Rehman Ramday distributed medals to those students with outstanding achievements in their subjects. The first position holder of the college Ifra Naeem was awarded a gold medal by the Chief Guest. University of Health Sciences Vice-Chancellor Maj Gen (R) Prof Muhammad Aslam also addressed the convocation as a Guest of Honour. Board of Trustees Member Shahid Hussain said, “The Shalamar Institute of Health Sciences has been providing quality healthcare services to the population of Lahore and its outskirts since 1978 and is now also preparing doctors and nursing staff on merit basis.” The Principal of the college Prof M Zahid Bashir congratulated the graduates. Board of Trustees Chairman Ch Ahmad Saeed, Syed Babar Ali, Ibrar A Mumtaz, Shahbazuddin Choudhary, Chief Executive Shalamar Institute of Health Sciences Brig (R) Anis Ahmed, faculty, doctors, and parents of the students also attended the convocation.
