PIA has upgraded its website to give a better online experience to users, and to provide them easy access to online reservations, for their different travel or freight needs.
The new website will be uploaded on trial basis for the first few weeks. A beta link for the new website has been added to the existing homepage; the new website will be formally launched after customers have given their feedback and any teething problems have been solved
PIA plans to offer preferred rates for bookings done via the website, and will allow passengers to make reservations up to 360 days in advance.
PIA also plans to start an online check-in facility in the first quarter of 2017, and allow customers to buy extra baggage through the website.
PIA has already made a smart phone app; its test version is currently available on both iOS and Android platforms. It too will be formally launched alongside the website after accommodating feedback and suggestions from users.
PIA CEO Bernd Hildenbrand said he regarded this as a milestone in PIA’s effort towards improving online sales and said that this new website was also going to be a major step towards improving PIA’s brand image.
