LEAs arrest 3 terrorists, 20 suspects in separate raids

 

 

A coast guard was gunned down by unidentified robbers for resisting a robbery bid in Zaman Town on late Friday night. The guard was identified as Imtiaz.

At least four suspects were taken into custody by the law-enforcement personnel in wee hours on Saturday from different areas of the metropolis. According to details, two suspects were detained in a raid at Bohri Bazar of Saddar. The Rangers conducted house search of targeted residential areas, in which as many as 30 paramilitary officials took part.

In Gulshan-e-Iqbal, two more suspects were taken into custody by the law enforcement agencies.

On Friday night, the Rangers arrested 19 suspects including three alleged terrorists belonging to banned Lashkar-e-Jhangvi and Al-Qaeda, a spokesman for the paramilitary forces said.

According to the spokesman, out of the three terrorists, one belonged to Al-Qaeda while the other two were affiliated with Lashkar-e-Jhangvi. He said that the other arrested suspects were either extortionists or street criminals.

Separately, a criminal involved in store robberies was also caught in Pak Colony while a local sustained severe wounds in a shooting incident in Korangi.
