Iran on Saturday offered to mediate between Islamabad and New Delhi on the issue of Kashmir, if both the neighbouring states wanted it to play a role.

“Iran is a close friend of India as well as Pakistan. We would like the relations between our friends to improve. We are ready to do whatever we can, if both our friends so desire,” Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said in a special address on “Fighting against terrorism and extremism as a global menace” in New Delhi.

“If Iran can be of any help, we stand ready; we are not volunteering, we stand ready,” he said, adding that “the three countries share common ideas of future democratic international system”.

Zarif further voiced Iran’s hopes ‘to move forward to a better relation between its very dear friends, India and Pakistan’.

  1. First please tell your 'close-friend' to dismantle the 'good-terrorist' camps on their soil, then please tell them to arrest, prosecute the perpetrator of terror that are roaming free in the country. Once we have achieved that through your good office we then are capable of discussing any issues with Pak directly.

  2. First please tell your 'close friend' to stop state terrorism in Kashmir and stop the Indian army to stop the killing and rape of Kashmiri women. Once you have achieved that and be able to convince India to accept Pakisyan is a reality and stop dreaming of 'akkund bharat' and stop state sponsored terrorism, rape in Kashmir sub continent will be peaceful place again. Good luck Iran on convincing the tea boy.
