Commissioner for beefing up security around Karachi Airport

Karachi Commissioner Ejaz Ahmed Khan has directed that the security arrangements around Jinnah International Airport be made more effective.

Presiding over a meeting here on Saturday, he directed that the police patrolling in these areas be enhanced especially during the night time. The meeting was also attended by officials of the Civil Aviation Authority, deputy commissioners of Malir, Korangi and South, officials of police and local government etc.

It was pointed out that the usage of powerful laser lights around the airport area was dangerous for planes landing or taking off. Such lights should be discouraged and the action should be taken against the responsible.

For the convenience of the passengers, special steps be taken for the traffic management. For enhancing the soft image of Karachi, the areas around airport should be made neat, clean and green. Action should be initiated against those spreading garbage.
