Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad (MCI) Deputy Mayor Syed Zeshan Ali Naqvi while inaugurating the Chrysanthemum and Autumn Flowers Show 2016 said that flowers contribute remarkably to a healthy environment which in turn leads to healthy attitudes.
The flower show hosted at the Rose and Jasmine Garden here on Friday, was organised by the Capital Development Authority and MCI in collaboration with Islamabad Horticulture Society (IHS) to cater to the aesthetic sense of Islamabad’s residents.
“This display of beautiful flowers pays testimony to the attention and care with which they were grown. The MCI & CDA will continue to organise such shows in future also”, he said.
Multiple varieties of chrysanthemum particularly intermediate, incurred, reflex, sprays, anemone, pompons, Korean hybrid, single floor and spidery flower were displayed in mound, stall and rainbow orders at the show.
Various organisations including the CDA, MCI, Allama Iqbal Open University, PMH, CMT Depot and Islamabad Club participated in the flower show through their stalls.
A large number of people attended and enjoyed the flower show.
