Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Thursday announced the schedule for the final round of the Local Bodies Election in Punjab.
According to the schedule, the final round of the local bodies’ election will start from December 9, in which mayors, deputy mayors, chairmen and vice-chairmen will be elected.
The nomination papers will be received on December 9 and 10, whereas the scrutiny process will be held on 11th and 12th.
The appeals against rejection of the nomination papers can be filed till December 14 and the candidates can withdraw their nominations till December 15.
The polling will take place on 22nd December and the election results will be announced on 23rd December, the election commission said.
Election Commission of Pakistan will notify the winning candidates on 28th December and the elected candidates will take oath on 31st December.
