The police foiled a bid to smuggle 40 kilogram hashish to Karachi, impounded a truck and arrested two drug peddlers here on Thursday.
According to details, the police, on a tip-off, started snap checking of vehicles at National Highway in Dera Murad Jamali. During search of a suspicious Karachi-bound truck coming from Quetta, 40 kg hashish concealed in the secret cavities of the vehicle was recovered.
The police impounded the truck and arrested two drug peddlers who were being interrogated after registering a case against them.
