The newly appointed Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC), Gen Zubair Mahmood Hayat called on Chief of the Naval Staff, Admiral Muhammad Zakaullah, at Naval Headquarters today. This was the debut visit of Gen Zubair Mahmood Hayat after assuming the office as Chairman.
Upon arrival at Naval Headquarters, the general was received by Admiral Zakaullah. A smartly turned out contingent of Pakistan Navy, in ceremonial dress, presented him a Guard of Honour. The Naval Chief then introduced the visiting dignitary to the Principal Staff Officers at Naval Headquarters.
Later, General Zubair met with the Admiral in his office. This meeting was followed by a comprehensive brief on Pakistan Navy’s role in the regional maritime security situation and on operational development in the Indian Ocean region.
During the meeting, the chief of the Naval Staff congratulated the CJCSC on his promotion and assumption of command of the best forces in the world. The Naval Chief said that Pakistan Navy will continue its endeavours to enhance synergy and seamless integration in operational and other inter-services matters under the auspices of the worthy chairman.
The Naval Chief assured the CJCSC of whole hearted support by Pakistan Navy and hoped that the armed forces of Pakistan would progress further and maintain their forceful posture under the able Command of General Zubair Mahmood Hayat.
On the occasion, CJCSC expressed his entire satisfaction over operational readiness and strenuous efforts by Pakistan Navy to make maritime defence of the country impregnable. He further assured that he would work in close coordination with Pakistan Armed Forces to enhance inter-Services cooperation and transform them into potent, coherent and well- integrated forces of the region.
