State Minister for Information, Broadcasting and National Heritage Marriyum Aurangzeb on Saturday said it was the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government which had taken revolutionary steps of constructing motorways, conducting nuclear tests and undertaking economic corridor project.
The minister, in a statement, said the people of Pakistan fully endorsed the agenda of development being pursued by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. She said the Health Insurance Scheme, infrastructure development and energy projects proved the fact that the prime minister had the only agenda to serve the nation.
The people, she added, had rejected the elements who were opposing development and progress. The country would continue its journey towards prosperity and those levelling baseless allegations would not succeed in their designs, she said.
Marriyum Aurangzeb mentioned that PTI’s spokesman Naeem-u-Haq, in a statement, had confessed that the prime minister had fulfilled all the obligations of his office. The Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) leadership, she said, should tell the nation as to whether their provincial government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) was fulfilling its responsibilities. The PTI succeeded to form its government in KP as its public mandate was respected, she recalled.
The minister said that PM Nawaz Sharif was an elected prime minister having public mandate and those wishing to become the prime minister through ‘back door’ would never succeed.
